Link of the Month: Corp Watch  For the past nine years San Francisco Bay Area-based CorpWatch has been educating and mobilizing people through our website and various campaigns. CorpWatch investigates multinationals that profit out of war, fraud, environmental and human rights abuse. In addition, we have also recently become an affiliate member of Friends of the Earth International where we are taking an active role in helping coordinate the corporates campaign. |
COMMUNITIES BEFORE CORPORATIONS
Communities are made up of people and so are corporations. One of the differences is that people in communities are responsible for themselves and their families. On the other hand, a corporation is an artificial person created by the laws of a state or country. Owners (“shareholders”) are not liable for the corporation’s actions or debts.
